Mark-Eugene was born in Arcadia, CA and grew up in Covina, CA. Growing up playing Flute, Tenor Saxophone and Bass Clarinet, he was well versed in music. As a teenager he began to study drama and eventually musical theatre. Deciding to focus less on performance and more on writing, Mark-Eugene began to study playwriting and musical theatre writing. The journey led him to New York City where he would once again fall into acting.
